The Capresso 303.01 espresso and cappuccino machine is a basic steam-powered machine with few frills. It is capable of brewing up to four cups of espresso simultaneously, which is about twice the capacity of most espresso machines. From start to finish, it takes about five minutes to brew coffee and froth milk for lattes and cappuccinos. The espresso maker also allows users to select brew strength. The machine has a removable drip tray to facilitate an easy clean-up and the glass carafe is dishwasher-safe.

What People Are Saying:

Although the Capresso 303.01 4-cup Espresso and Cappuccino maker was not rated or reviewed by Consumer Reports, it was listed as a top-5 best-selling espresso machine on Amazon in Dec. 2011. Most customers who purchased the Capresso espresso maker were happy with it. Nearly 100 of the 145 posted reviews are rated four or five stars (out of five). The machine is called a good entry-level brewer for home use with simple controls. Customers also like the affordability of the machine. A few customers noted the plastic attachment on the frothing wand doesn't work well, but removing the attachment improves function. One succinct review said it didn't excel, but "it gets the job done." Two reviews posted on WholeLatteLove.com were negative and said the unit was not built to last.
