A bar handle and hidden controls (a blue beam shines on the floor when a cycle ends) add stylish touches to the compact (17.625" wide) Kenmore 14683 dishwasher, which should handle the dishwashing needs of a small household while being relatively quiet compared to older models. This machine is stainless steel inside and out, and comes with a removable upper rack; fold-down tines on the lower rack; and the ability to have the door remain open in multiple positions. Like all Kenmore appliances, these units are sold only at Sears, Kmart or Kenmore.com.

What People Are Saying:

In September 2012 there was only one online user review for the Kenmore 14683 at Sears; while it is positive and says the machine is quiet, there was simply not much consumer feedback available for this model. For Kenmore products in general, a user survey by Consumer Reports found it to be one of the less repair-prone brands, with about 9% of owners reporting repairs and serious problems compared to 8%-21% for 13 other brands.
