Cuisinart Single-Serve Brewing System SS-700

The Cuisinart SS-700 is a single-serve pod coffee maker that can brew cups of coffee in five sizes. It has an 80 oz. built-in water container so multiple cups can be brewed consecutively. Keurig Elite Brewer B40

The Keurig B40 Elite Brewing System is a pod coffee maker that serves single cups of coffee in either 8oz or 10oz sizes. Like its larger-size cousin, the B60 Special Edition Brewer, the B40 comes with a 48oz. removable water reservoir, which is easy to fill and to clean. With the pod technology, consumers can pop in a K-cup (Keurig-patented pod) and have a cup of coffee brewed in less than a minute (although a few minutes of pre-brewing setup are required). While the K-cups are proprietary, customers are not restricted to Keurig brands. Individual, refillable K-cups are sold for customers to make their own blend of K-cup. The Keurig B31 Mini Brewer is the compact version of the best-selling line of Keurig single-serve coffee makers. The Mini Brewer has some of the features of the larger, more expensive B60 Special Edition Brewer, including the ability to brew three cup sizes -- 6oz, 8oz and 10oz. Despite the smaller stature of the B31 Mini Brewer, it has a removable drip tray that allows for small travel mugs to fit, something not available on all single-serve pod coffee makers. While Keurig uses proprietary K-cups (pods of coffee), consumers are not limited to Keurig-only offerings. The Keurig B78 is a best-selling single-serve pod coffee maker that brews cups in five sizes. The Keurig B78 can accommodate brewing 4 oz. demitasse cups as easily as it can fill a 12 oz. travel mug. It has a 72 oz. water reservoir, so each cup brewed does not require additional trips to the faucet. It also has a backlit screen for programming water temperature and an auto-off. Keurig Special Edition B60

The Keurig Special Edition B60 is a best-selling single-cup pod coffee maker. With a programmable LED screen, it creates single-serve cups of coffee in three sizes (6oz-10oz) and can also accommodate a travel mug. The pre-filled K-cups that the machine uses are sold in varying quantities, but generally cost less than $1 per cup and come filled with coffee, cocoa, tea or cider. Customers are not restricted to pre-filled K-cup selections, reusable K-cups can be filled with personal blends. While Mr. Coffee's brand name is on the exterior of this pod coffee maker, its inner workings are made by best-selling pod maker Keurig. The machine also uses Keurig's proprietary coffee pods (called K-cups) for brewing 8-ounce coffee, espresso, tea and hot chocolate drinks; a variety pack is included in the box. The unit has a removable drip tray to make cleaning easier. An auto shut-off activates 90 seconds after a drink is brewed, an energy-saving feature.

Nescafe Dolce Gusto Circolo

The Nescafe Dolce Gusto Circolo is a unique-looking single serve coffeemaker that can make both hot and cold drinks, as well as espresso. The coffee maker's design won an International Forum Design award and a Red Dot Design honorable mention. The coffeemaker uses prepackaged pods of coffee or tea to make a variety of drinks -- but a single pod does not always make a single drink, some drinks require multiple pods.
